CONCLUSION: Patients with COVID-19-related idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis exacerbations can be treated in acute rehabilitation effectively. With more patients developing post-COVID-19 pulmonary fibrosis, appropriate rehabilitation strategies are important for safe discharge planning. CONCLUSIONS: Pleurodesis is considered to be one of the treatment options against MPE in patients with ILD. However, two cases of ARDS were observed; thus, clinicians should carefully consider the indication of pleurodesis in the patients who had the recent onset of ILD and were treated with systemic prednisolone.

Association of sarcopenia with basic activities of daily living and dyspnea-related limitations in patients with interstitial lung disease

CONCLUSIONS: Sarcopenia was significantly associated with greater impairment of basic ADL and limitation of ADL by dyspnea in patients with ILD. SMI and gait speed are components of sarcopenia that affect these outcomes. Targeted interventions are needed to improve ADL and quality of life in these patients.

COVID-19 caused by the Omicron variant in lung transplant recipients: a single center case series

CONCLUSIONS: LTRs are at high risk of secondary lung infections after Omicron. Key risk factors for severe disease include CRP >41.8 mg/L, ILD as primary disease, and pulmonary fungal infection. CD4+ T lymphocyte count may predict mortality risk in LTRs with COVID-19.
